CERTIFICATIONS

From its birth, through its growth, up to the very present Pavoncelli has always striven to keep up with the times and has invested its resources to enrich itself and develop according to new trends and technologies that best meet the needs of the Italian and European sausage and salami markets. The best proof of this is our ability to provide, to our customers and consumers, the fruits and knowledge of more than a century of traditions combined with constant innovations.
This explains why, at the start of the third millennium, we have taken a new road towards consolidating and increasing the quality of our products. This road requires a series of certifications, specific for each sector, designed not only to control production factors but to more generally control surrounding aspects that have social influence.
The relevant project has been set up in two sectors: starting in 2001, biological production based on E.E.C. regulations 2092/91, and starting in 2002, development and institution of an integrated environmental and quality management system with ISO certification.
The goal of complying with these certifications is to set up guidelines for activities performed inside and outside our firm: environmental policy, organizational structure, production processes and procedures and available resources are the foundations of our integrated quality/environment management system, set up in compliance with UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standards (as far as quality is concerned) and UNI EN ISO 14001 and E.E.C. regulations No. 761/2001 EMAS II (referring to environmental control).
This system permits us to monitor and meet all the needs of each customer, constantly revising the production cycle inside the firm, covering all our activities ranging from reception of incoming raw materials up to sale of final products, measuring the satisfaction of our customers and consumers in the retail distribution and sales network.
EMAS regulations also require companies, in order to pursue their engagements with personnel and with the citizenry, to set precise environmental goals and targets. All this is achieved in a management system that demands qualification of the entire company structure and that defines: specific responsibilities inside the company, adequate procedures for correct management of documents, facilities maintenance, operating control and monitoring of environmental aspects, personnel training programs (theoretical and practical), procedures for managing emergencies with no risks for the general population and for personnel. All of which is aimed at achieving and improving system auditing activities that strive to maintain system quality.
These few words only briefly sum up all the work that has been done by all Pavoncelli personnel, the fruit of our conviction that development must create real improvements in the life styles of the citizenry in terms of material well-being, environmental health and safety and the safeguarding of cultural and historic values.
Growth must, in other words, be sustainable with respect to many social and natural needs and not aim exclusively at improving just a few and simple economic indicators.
This effort in terms of investments in new clean technologies, and efforts by personnel to protect and safeguard the environment, may seem just a little more than a drop in the ocean. But it helps make our work increasingly gratifying and, we hope, the lives of our fellow citizens even more pleasant.
